The oxtail is traditionally one of the most popular natural chews for dogs. Depending on its origin, it is known by different names, such as oxpesel, oxfiesl or farrenschwanz. But your dog is less interested in that - he prefers the oxtail mainly because of its irresistible taste and the extensive chewing fun. But that's not all - oxtails also offer a wide range of benefits for your four-legged friend's health. As a natural source of proteins, minerals and vitamins, they contribute to muscle development and maintenance, the health of their fur and skin and have a positive effect on their general well-being. Thanks to their firm and chewy consistency, they also clean your four-legged friend's teeth while chewing, effectively remove tartar, massage the gums and strengthen the chewing muscles at the same time. It is also a great toy that can help reduce stress and provide meaningful activity. As a rule, oxtails are easily digestible chew snacks and, with their low fat content of 2.5%, are also suitable for overweight dogs.
How are oxtails made into a chew snack?
Our ox tails are obtained from the male sexual organ of cattle. The skin is carefully selected, cleaned and stretched, then cut into the desired size and gently air-dried at 95°. The long drying process removes moisture, which increases their shelf life. This process also preserves natural aromas and nutrients, which means their delicious taste is preserved. The resulting sticks are hard and tough and offer your dog a satisfying chewing experience.

For which dogs are bullwhips suitable as a chew snack?
Ox tails are generally suitable for all dogs that do not have a specific allergy to beef. They are always welcome as a reward for small and large dogs alike and are ideal for dogs with a strong chewing instinct or dental problems.
